A big score line that as usual did not affect spirits and loads of positives to take away!!

A somewhat depleted and injury stricken Sandhurst team travelled over an hour to play a very skilful Oxford team, but the Warriors fear no-one and within 5 Mins , Sandhurst were 0-1 up from a sweeping move forward and well executed finish .

Oxford were rocked and this showed as they became very physical , the referee awarded several free kicks to Sandhurst for persistent fouls from Oxford.

Oxford responded with 2 goals , one of which appeared to go out of play but heads did not drop , in fact another brilliant passage of play and the Vets Warriors showed their character by levelling things up , another great finish!!

We would have gone in at half time all square and deservedly so if it wasn't for a dubious penalty awarded deep into added time, "Clearly a ball to hand incident" ;)

Half time brough more injury problems and as the second half progressed , several hit and hopes flew in and the score line ultimately flattered the home team.

All in All the performance was incredible , everyone gave 100% right to the final whistle and what was clear is that the Sandhurst Vets Warriors are here to stay and are mixing it up with teams half our age! Truly smashing it
